How Sound Drip builds buying evidence

Sound Drip combines structured manufacturer specifications with retailer listing observations. We keep automated data separate from editorial guidance and suppress price claims when the supporting observation is too old.

Retailer listings

Each offer records the retailer, price, stock state, destination URL, verification state, and a persisted observation timestamp. A price is described as current and included in Product offer schema only when it is verified, in stock, non-Amazon, and no more than 7 days old. Older records remain useful provenance but are labeled stale and their numeric price is hidden.

Reference prices

When no fresh verified retailer offer exists, a product may show a manufacturer reference price. Reference prices are labeled as such and are not presented as a deal, current retailer price, or price-history observation.

Specifications and recommendations

Specifications are database-driven and should be checked against the manufacturer before purchase. Buying guides explain criteria and tradeoffs; they are not claims that Sound Drip physically tested or owns every product. We do not publish ratings, review counts, or testing claims without supporting evidence.

Price history and deals

A deal requires a current verified offer and at least one earlier persisted observation. We never infer a drop from MSRP alone. Historical lows and ranges exclude invalid, unavailable, zero-price, and Amazon observations.

Affiliate relationships

Some outbound links can earn Sound Drip a commission without changing the shopper's price. Commercial relationships do not change the freshness rules or product ordering. Read the affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

If a specification, status, URL, or price label appears wrong, send the product URL and supporting source through our contact page. Material corrections are recorded on the corrections page.
